Not a whole lot has changed, unless you consider renewed energy, lack of morning sickness, and a spreading glow that just seems to get brighter as each week passes; but enough of me, the mother is doing good too. But let's face it, you really do not want to hear about me (or the mother), but more of the baby. Okay, Okay, some of you really do want to hear about all of us.
With week 16's visit we got hear the heartbeat again (is it too much to ask for the baby to play Beethoven or maybe some Mozart?), but this time the heartbeat was interrupted every so often with the sound of our baby kicking. In the words of the nurse practitioner, "we have an active one." Has our angel grown horns? We don't know and likely won't find out for 5 more weeks when we get our next ultrasound, that will not only reveal if he/she has horns, but the sex too (assuming he/she decides to cooperate)!
To end this excitement the wonderful husband of this family surprised his wife with her very first mother's present. A past, present, and future diamond ring (she got to pick whatever she wanted, and her first pick she decided was WAY too expensive, so we settled for the second best).
