Two Month Checkup

On March 29th, we had our 2 month checkup for Brianne. She weighed in at 12 pounds 1 ounce and 23.5 inches long. She is in the 75 to 90 percentile in both height and weight.

She has been cooing and baby talking to us for a few weeks now and is starting to be a lot more obvious on when she wants to eat by placing her hand near her mouth (Matt likes to think this is partially due to the use of Mommy and Daddy using baby sign language). She has been sleeping for nearly 8 to 10 hours a night, only waking up once (typically after 6 straight hours of sleep) in her own room.

Add to that, that she is beginning to shake her rattle by herself, and I'd say we have a baby that not only is cute, but down right fun to watch!

She had two shots at the doctor's visit on Monday, and one again today (Wednesday). She hasn't had any type of reaction at this point, short of running a low fever, but Tylenol solved that quickly.

We have diapers up the wahzoo, including clean ones that haven't been used yet. We keep joking that we need a t-shirt with the slogan the recent Pedigree commercial is running, "I'm not just a good pooper, but an optimal one."

Walks are becoming a routine, now that the weather is nice. So far she sleeps through it for the majority of the time, but today she was wide awake for it. We have had one play date so far with our neighbor down the street who has a two year old and a 2 month old and although she can't actively play yet, it seemed like she enjoyed it.

Thanks,
Matt, Kami, Brianne, and Spunky
