If one of your resolutions was to work out or lose weight this year, you may rent our daughter for the low low price of 9.95 an hour. Our daughter is an exercise Drill Sargent! She will make you exercise in the morning after waking up, then proceed to show you how to do it properly, followed by asking if you would like to do it again. If you have a problem committing to it, she will help you!
After exercising she would love to have homemade doughnuts with you that have white icing and are loaded with sprinkles. Just take a package of biscuits, cut a hole in the center, and deep fry them to their are a golden brown. Add icing and sprinkles and she will down the package by the mouthful. What can I say, exercising obviously gives my little girl an appetite.
Speaking of appetites, this little girl has been eating us out of house and home (a true sign of a Simon if you ask me). The other weekend, she was a bottomless pit, eating platefuls of green beans, macaroni and cheese, applesauce, yogurt, chips, nachos, and much much more. Feeding her meant opening a 24 hour diner that weekend!
This last month we have reached a new step in our becoming a woman. We must take our purse everywhere with us and it must have our cellphone! Oh man, I'm not sure I'm ready for this, is it too late to change my mind? Can we some how back up a year so she can be little just a while longer? Seriously, today is a purse and cellphone, tomorrow will be dating! Sigh, where does the time go?
To top it off we also have picked up mimicking to perfection. The other day, Mommy saw a neat bed spread (My Little Ponies) on Facebook at a local thrift shop. She quickly picked up her cellphone, dialed the number, and asked it to be placed on hold for us, telling them we would be on our way shortly. Our daughter without missing a beat, quickly picked up her cellphone and recited the entire conversation she heard word for word. I was on the floor laughing, it was just outstanding, then without even a thought, my daughter looked at me and said "Daddy shhhh! I'm on the phone". Needless to say, I couldn't stop laughing.
Valentine's Day was also part of this last month and my little girl was happier than ever to receive her pink carnations. She absolutely loved them, plus picking off each petal and throwing them around the room was fun too! Smelling them, holding them, playing with them, plucking them, it didn't matter, she enjoyed them and I was thrilled to give to her.
Last but not least, this past month we have been big into painting and coloring (with markers and crayons). We have painted numerous pictures that we are going to have to turn them into cards soon. Daddy has even taken several of them to work to hang up in his new office. Our little artist has a lot of imagination and we love to let her use it.
This month has been a busy month and this coming month looks like it may be just as busy. We can't wait to see what it holds and what her interests may be. To end off this entry, please enjoy the following pictures.
Love,
Matt, Kami, Brianne and Keaten
